STUDENT SUCCESS

WE'LL BE WITH YOU
EVERY STEP OF THE WAY

College is one of the most important investments you’ll make, and we don’t take that lightly. We’ll invest in you equally.

When you commit to Georgia State, we commit to guide and support you every single day — from before First-Year Convocation to after graduation. Our novel approach has made us the national model for student success.

Our family of 52,000 students is among the most diverse in the country. And thanks to our work their futures are equally bright. We are proud to be the only institution in the country that has eliminated the achievement gap among students based on race, ethnicity, and income.

THESTATEWAY® puts you in a cap and gown and on the path to a prosperous career as soon as possible. On average, we save our students a collective $21 million in unnecessary tuition and nearly a semester in unnecessary coursework on the road to a degree.

Tariq Collins
“Success Academy allowed me to start college a semester early. I got to know campus, learn about and leverage offices around Georgia State and meet other students on a more connected, intimate level. Honestly, it’s one of the best things that has ever happened to me.”

A STRATEGY WORTH REPLICATING

Having experienced the most dramatic increase in graduation rates of any university in the country since 2003, we’ve garnered widespread praise for our innovative and successful approach to elevating student achievement. We were also tasked with establishing our own National Institute for Student Success, offering a model for other universities to adopt.

“This model of student success couldn’t be more timely as Americans facing an economy devastated by rising wealth inequality and a once-in-a-century pandemic look once again to education—a quality but moderately priced education—to better their fortunes.”
— Andrew Gumbel, award-winning investigative journalist, political columnist, author
