After a 15-year career as a dental assistant, Monica Vargas decided she wanted more responsibility, so she turned to Perimeter College’s dental hygiene career program pathway. She quickly earned her associate degree, passed the National Board Exam and landed a job as a dental hygienist — her ultimate goal — at a practice in Atlanta.
