Through the Honors College’s Undergraduate Research Program, Honors students across all majors have the opportunity to get hands-on. You could work in a lab alongside faculty, compose music, serve as an editor or build a business plan. You’ll also get the chance to reach for prestigious scholarships and attend or share your research at national conferences.

Research Conference

Showcase your research as a poster, oral presentation, artistic or creative presentation at our annual conference (GSURC), or get published. GSURC is held in our new Center for Undergraduate Research and Creative Inquiry.

GSURC SPOTLIGHT: ANALYZING ANIMALS

Cianie Castillo (’26) won a Signature Experience Award at the 2025 GSURC for her presentation of her research on the behaviors of adolescent gorillas at Zoo Atlanta. Specifically, she studied the impact of maternal proximity on adolescent gorillas’ social interactions.
